Welcome to 1st Newbury Sea Scout Group

This is the home page of 1st Newbury Sea Scout Group, based in Newbury, Berkshire, UK.

Newbury Sea Scouts provides opportunities for challenge, adventure and personal development for young people in Newbury and West Berkshire, particularly through engagement with water based adventure and skills development.
We have been in existence since the early 1900's, and have operated from its present site (near St.Bart's school) for over sixty years. In this time an estimated three to four thousand boys have benefited from membership and participation.

1st Newbury Sea Scout Group is a very active and successful group within the wider West Berkshire scouting district, and we have four active sections:

Beaver Scouts (ages 6 - 8)
Cub Scouts (ages 8 - 10 1/2)
Scouts (ages 10 1/2 - 14)
Explorer Scouts (ages 14 - 18)

If you are interested in joining the Newbury Sea Scouts or volunteering to help the group, please telephone Wendy Clarke on (01635) 862268.
